Dunn’s goal, simply stated, is to produce quality bituminous concrete pavements that exceed every customer’s requirements and expectations.
For more than a decade, we’ve actively participated in a national research effort to produce longer lasting, better performing bituminous concrete pavement.
Our Quality Control/Quality Assurance personnel undergo extensive training and testing (both in-house and through Alabama Asphalt Pavement Association courses), and they are all ALDOT-certified in the design and testing of bituminous concrete.

GREEN INITIATIVE
We develop and manage resources for safe and sustainable materials production, creating value in the communities where we operate and supporting our customers’ success. We are proud to deliver quality construction while also maintaining a proactive green strategy in our work. We know our people influence the industry, so we are consistently implementing actions that further sustainable construction and have a positive impact on our projects, community, and environment. When permitted, we use recycled materials, ranging from reclaimed asphalt and roofing to steel foundry sand and slag, in our asphalt mixes. This lowers a project’s cost and impact on the environment. We conducted ALDOT’s first Warm Mix Asphalt test section and routinely use Cold Mix Asphalt, which is produced using much less energy than Hot Mix Asphalt, resulting in greatly reduced emissions.
