Craig Fleming – President
After ten years with another company in Alabama’s asphalt paving industry (where he held positions of increasing responsibility), Craig joined Dunn Construction as Vice President and Area Manager in 1994. From 1996 to 2001, Craig served as President of Dunn Roadbuilders in Laurel, MS. He returned to Birmingham in 2001, and was named President of Dunn Construction in 2002. Craig also serves as the Vice President of Eastern Operations for Dunn Investment Company. Craig is an active advocate for the road building industry. His professional activities include: Past president of the Mississippi Asphalt Pavement Association. President and current board member of the Alabama Asphalt Pavement Association. Vice Chairman of the UAB Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering Industry Advisory Board. Past member of the Associated Builders and Contractors General/Subcontractor Advisory Board and member of the ABC board of directors. President and Board Member of the Alabama Road Builders Association. Craig is also a supporter of a number of community initiatives, including: Chairman and board member of the Birmingham CRT (Coalition for Regional Transportation). Member of the Leadership Birmingham Class of 2011. Member of the Downtown Birmingham Kiwanis Club. Craig was born October 18, 1958 in Franklin, Ky. He attended the Georgia Institute of Technology and graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Craig and his wife Sherrie were married in May of 1982. They are the parents of Julie and Matt Cate, and grandson Parker and granddaughter Emmaline, Brooke and Brandon Pilot, Virginia, and Andrew. They are members of Mountain Brook Community Church.

Evans Dunn – Vice President and General Manager
Evans joined Dunn Construction as a Project Manager / Estimator in 2004. His responsibilities included: Building relationships with developers, general contractors and municipalities. And generating Cost To Complete analyses for projects.In 2014, Evans was promoted to Vice President of Estimating. Today, he is responsible for all of Dunn’s construction work in Alabama—and for procuring work from area developers, general contractors and engineers. Evans is a 1991 graduate of the University of Alabama—where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. In 1992, Evans joined Royal Cup Coffee—serving the company in a variety of sales and marketing-related positions (from Route Sales to National Account Manager) before joining Dunn in 2004. An active member of Meadow Brook Baptist Church, Evans has served both as a Deacon and on numerous church committees. He is a board member of Birmingham United Soccer Association, and has coached several soccer teams over the years. Evans and his wife Katie have three daughters: Kathleen, Alexandra and Anne-Marie. All three girls play soccer; two for travel teams.

Harry Thomas – VP of Operations
Harry manages all of Dunn’s construction operations, including asphalt plants, paving crews, base crews, excavating and milling. He coordinates operations with project managers in preparing bids and completing projects on schedule. He works with accounting to manage our costs, and with safety to promote a better workplace for all employees. Harry joined Dunn in 2003, after two years as vice president of the asphalt operations for Blythe construction in Charlotte North Carolina—where he was responsible for five asphalt plants and approximately 140 employees. In 1999 and 2000, Harry worked in Morrisville, North Carolina for Hanson Aggregates East—where he served as manager of operations support. From 1973 until 1999, Harry worked for Sloan construction company, a 700-employee asphalt paving company based in Greenville, SC. Originally a field office clerk, his final 2 years with Sloan were as President of the company. Prior to that, he was the company’s VP and Division Manager. Harry earned his BA degree in economics from Clemson.

Wade Edwards – Chief Financial Officer
Wade joined Dunn in 2006 after eight years in public accounting, including two years as a manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers. A graduate of Texas A&M University, Wade is a Certified Public Accountant. Wade is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Alabama Society of CPAs. Wade is responsible for leading the finance and accounting department, preparing financial statements and budgets, monitoring the Company’s internal controls, and managing insurance and legal matters.Wade and his wife reside in Gardendale, and they are active members of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Homewood. Wade enjoys running, watching sports and traveling.

Hugh Hagood – VP of Aggregates and President of Couch Aggregates
Hugh Joined Dunn Construction in 2002 as a sales manager and now holds the position of Officer and Vice President of Aggregates. Before joining Dunn, Hugh spent three years with Vulcan Materials Company. Hugh oversees all of the Aggregate and Slag operations at Dunn. Hugh has served in a number of different roles during his career at Dunn. Additionally, Hugh serves on the state board for the Alabama Association of General Contractors, serving as President of the Birmingham Chapter in 2013 and 2014.  Since 2004 Hugh has also served on the advisory board for the Birmingham Habitat for Humanity. Hugh is a graduate at The University of Alabama where he earned a degree in Business Administration. He also attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham College of Engineering. Hugh and his wife Amy were married in May of 1994 and have three children: Mary Grace, Tucker and Ethan. Hugh is a member of Riverchase United Methodist church and also enjoys playing golf and musical instruments.

Michael Estell – Assistant Operations Manager – ALDOT/Plants/QAQC
Michael has served Dunn Construction in his current job since joining the company in 2003. He is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for jobs the company is bidding—and for managing the work, and accurately tracking costs, for his ongoing construction projects. Michael’s primary responsibilities are in operations and include scheduling, tracking costs, job billings and projections—as well as assisting in day-to-day management of both public and private work. Michael joined Dunn after working from 1988 until 2003 at APAC-Alabama, Inc.—where he held several different positions, including Estimator and Project Manager, Asphalt Sales Representative, Birmingport Asphalt Terminal Manager, Material Testing Technician, Instrument Man for Base & Asphalt Crew Operation, and Payroll Clerk/Accounting Assistant. Michael attended Valdosta State Community College in Valdosta, Georgia. Michael and his wife Jaime have two daughters, Emma and Anna, and currently reside in Helena.

Greg Caldwell – Chief Estimator
Greg Caldwell joined Dunn Construction in 2012 as an Estimator/Project Manager. Since that time he had primarily served as estimator on private, public and department of transportation projects. Prior to coming to Dunn Greg worked for 17 years at Henry Tyler Construction in Sales/Estimating and Project Management where he was responsible for Industrial and Commercial projects in Alabama and Georgia. Another 8 years was spent with Saiia Construction Company where he served as a Senior Estimator/Project manager. Bidding and managing numerous projects in the Commercial and Industrial sector. These projects ranged from large commercial shopping centers, to power plants to industrial landfills. Greg and his wife Tracy have two children, Luke and Lydia. They attend Hunter Street Baptist Church. Greg graduated from the University of Montevallo in 1989 with his BS degree in Management. Greg spends his spare time fishing, running and bicycling.

Bo Walters – Assistant Operations Manager – Private Projects/Trucking/Shop Operations
Bo joined Dunn Construction as an Estimator/Project Manager in 2013 after an internship the previous summer. Bo graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction Science. Bo was the first Student Athlete to ever graduate from State with a degree in Building Science. At Mississippi State, Bo lettered as a Linebacker and served as president of the Associated Builders & Contractors Student Chapter. Bo’s primary responsibilities at Dunn are in Estimating and Managing unique projects in the Private Sector. Bo is also responsible for creating and maintaining customer relationships with Municipalities, Developers and General Contractors. Bo is a graduate of ABC’s Future Leaders in Construction Class 2013 and is an active member in AGC’s Young Construction Forum. Bo and his wife Mallory live in Chelsea and have two children, Elijah and Davy Mac, with a third expected soon. They are members of The Church of The Highlands where Bo serves as a small group Leader in the Prison Ministry. Bo is also an avid outdoorsman and spends most of his free time hunting and fishing.

Brian Hibbard – Project Manager
Brian has served multiple roles since joining Dunn in 2007. His primary responsibilities are focused in Operations. They include Quality Control Administration, Materials Management, internal and FOB asphalt pricing. Brian is responsible for asphalt pricing for Dunn’s estimators as well as third party customers, agencies,and contractors where his dedication to service consistently results in positive relationships. He also oversees the construction materials used for day to day operations. As a project manager, Brian assists Dunn’s estimators to ensure costs are tracked, jobs are billed and projected, and customers are happy. Brian and his wife Ashley have three children: Drake, Hudson, and Lannah Kate. They attend St Mark’s Catholic Church. Brian graduated from Mississippi State University in 2003, with a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science. Brian likes to spend his spare time with his family. As an avid outdoorsman, he will likely be hunting, fishing, or pursuing another hobby outside somewhere.

Glen Williams – Project Manager
Glen joined Dunn Construction in 1984 as an Estimator/Project Manager. He has estimated both private and public projects in every area where Dunn has operations. Glen has served as a QC/QA manager for 1 year. Glen worked on a transition team for approximately 2 years in Laurel, Mississippi after Dunn purchased Bush Construction Company and formed Dunn Roadbuilders, Inc. He was involved with implementing a cost tracking system for management, and performance evaluation system for Dunn’s foreman and their crews. Currently he maintans the Dunn computer estimating system databases. Glen graduated from Auburn University in 1972 with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management. Glen and his wife, Chery, are married 40 years with 4 children: Brooke, Lea Anne, Glen Jr., and Kimber. They are members of Auburn United Methodist Church. Glen enjoys spending time at Lake Martin, Auburn Football, and traveling.
Carter Pritchard – Project Manager
Carter joined Dunn in May of 2015 as an Estimator/Project Manager after an internship in the summer of 2014. Carter graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on transportation engineering. His primary responsibility is Estimating within the private sector. He is also responsible for seeking out new business as well as maintaining existing relationships with customers, municipalities and general contractors. Carter is a graduate from the Associated Builders & Contractor’s Future Leaders in Construction (FLIC) Class in 2016 as well as an active member in AGC’s Young Constructors Forum. Carter attends Redeemer Community Church in Avondale. He enjoys spending his free time at the lake, traveling or on the golf course.

Bo Welden – Project Manager
Bo joined Dunn Construction in 2012, working as a groundman in the asphalt plants. He eventually worked his way up to weighmaster and plant operator, and after completing his undergraduate and beginning his graduate studies he moved into the role of Special Projects Manager. In that role, Bo managed projects for Dunn Construction, ensuring that projects are performed on time, on budget, and to the customer’s satisfaction. He currently serves as a Project Manager, primarily in the private sector, and coordinates with owners, contractors, and Dunn’s superintendents and foremen to ensure that each project performs successfully. Bo also assists in plant management, pricing asphalt for customers and Dunn projects alike, as well as with plant materials management. He runs Dunn’s UAV operation and manages all Dunn’s mobile field devices. Bo graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a BS in Psychology in 2013 and a Masters in Engineering, Construction Management in 2015. He is a graduate of the Alabama ABC’s Future Leaders in Construction Class of 2015, Future Business Leader’s Class of 2017 and is a member of the AGC’s Young Constructors Forum. Bo and his wife, Caroline, were married in February 2016 and spend their free time traveling. Bo also enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time.

Robert Powell – Business Development Manager, Aggregates
Robert joined Dunn in February of 2017 and holds the title of Business Development Manager. Before joining Dunn, Robert held operational, sales, and managerial positions within Vulcan Materials Company, O’Neal Steel Inc., and most recently, Talladega Castings & Machine Company. He is responsible for spearheading value-add efforts coinciding with the Couch Aggregates acquisition, as well as developing new sales revenue among all existing aggregate materials. Robert attended The University of Alabama and graduated in 2008. Robert and his wife Anna were married in June of 2009 and have two children: Harding and James. Robert enjoys coaching his boys in any sport, spending time with extended family, golf, and the outdoors. Robert and his family currently reside in Mountain Brook.

Amber Kinney – Human Resources Director
Amber joined Dunn Construction in October 2014 as the HR Director/EEO Officer. Amber graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2002 with a BA, Majoring in Medical Sociology with a Concentration in Human Services and a Minor in Psychology. She is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management, Associated Builders and Contractors, and is the Vice President of the National Association of Women in Construction Greater Birmingham Chapter. Amber is responsible for ensuring the company is using best practices in all aspects of the business. She is working to increase workforce development through identifying skills, implementing training programs, and actively recruiting the best candidates in order to successfully grow the company under the Dunn Value Statement. Amber and her husband David reside in Birmingham with their three daughters Aubrie, Alexa, and Ashlyn. They are members of The Church of the Highlands and enjoy serving on the dream team. Amber enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, watching football, and traveling.
